Payung Island is likely an island reef with coral slopes and clear tropical water. It offers a scenic contrast to Ambon’s muck sites if located outside the bay.
What to see
Reef fish, hard corals, soft corals, turtles, rays, moray eels, nudibranchs, and schooling fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best in the local main dive season, often October to May around Ambon. Water is generally 26–29°C.
