All about Los Carilles dive site
Los Carilles appears to be a local Las Galeras or Samaná-area site, likely shaped by rocky reef and coastal relief. It should be presented as a natural reef dive rather than a documented wreck or cave unless local guides confirm otherwise.
What to see
Reef fish, snappers, grunts, wrasse, sea fans, sponges, moray eels, octopus, rays, and turtles may be seen. Rocky cracks may hold lobsters and crabs.
When To Go Diving
The best time is when the north coast is calm, often outside periods of heavy swell. Water is generally around 24–29°C, with visibility often 18–30 metres in good conditions.
