Hospital Point is a popular dive site located not far from Bocas del Toro. The site has multiple attractions for divers. They can either relax during an easy dive in the shallow, sandy bay, or explore the huge coral reef wall. Hospital Point has multiple cracks, caverns, and clefts in the wall, and numerous boulders, ledges, and outcroppings also attract schools of fish.

When To Go Diving

Bocas del Toro has a tropical rainforest climate. There is no clear distinction between seasons, and temperatures are approximately the same throughout the whole year, around 27-29C/80-84F. The average water temperature range is 26-28C/78-82F. This area gets a lot of rain, but the driest months are September, October, February, and March. The wettest months are July, November, and December.

What to see

Diving at Hospital Point is astonishing, as the reef wall is completely covered with different corals and sea fans. Lots of marine species can be found during the dive, such as southern rays, nurse sharks, hermit crabs, blue tangs, angelfish, and batfish.
