When to go to Oakridge
Diving is available all year round. The rainy season is from October to February. The average air temperature is 25C/77F from January to March, and 30C/87F from April to September. The average water temperature varies from 27C/81F to 29C/84F. The water visibility is about 20m/65ft. The currents are generally low. Divers can explore healthy corals and sponges, see lots of moray eels, sea horses, green morays, an octopus (usually coming out during the night), lots of lobsters and crabs.

Oak Ridge, located on the South East end of Roatan Island in 28 km from Juan Manuel Galvez International Airport. Oakridge has been called the "Venice of the Caribbean", because of its boat-oriented transportation. It is a small fishing community with few roads, home port to numerous shrimp and lobster boats and buildings on stilts overlooking the water. It is recommended to visit Oak Ridge's Mangrove Tunnel and world-famous B.J.'s Backyard. Diving is done in clear waters teeming with life.
