Half Moon Caye Wall, at Lighthouse Reef, is one of Belize’s most celebrated wall dives, marked by tunnels and grooves sloping toward open water. The setting is dramatic but still rich with reef-top detail, making it a favourite for both wide-angle scenery and marine life.
What to see
Groupers, snappers, eagle rays, reef sharks, turtles, sponges, sea fans, and wall corals may be seen. The tunnels and grooves give the site its memorable structure.
When To Go Diving
March to June is often excellent for Lighthouse Reef trips, while December to May is the drier season. Water is usually around 26–29°C, and visibility often reaches 20–40 metres offshore.
