The nitrox membrane on this boat needs to be replaced, it has been faulty for some time. Nitrox is free. Soft drinks are free. Bring your own capsule coffee! The crew on board kept the place clean and out rooms were cleaned numerous times each day. Food was simple yet hot and wholesome. Our dive guide was relaxed and professional. The boat is good platform buts it does show its age. But it is adequate.

Golden Dolphin surpassed expectations! Everything
Golden Dolphin surpassed expectations! Everything was perfect - the boat, gear, crew, office service, and dive guides were all great. The most striking thing was the feeling of safety I had during the tour because of the degree of organization and responsibility of the dive guide

One of the best liveaboards in the Red Sea - Golden Dolphin 3 - St. Johns - Abu Fandera 24.11-01.12.2022
This was my first experience aboard the Golden Dolphin 3 boat and I must say it exceeded my expectations even if it was my 8th liveaboard on different boats in the Red Sea. The structure of the boat is different than other boats since the dining room is in the lower deck and the rooms are placed in the middle and top deck, with window views. This is actually very convenient since most of the time is spent on the middle and upper deck. Moving on, the crew and facilities were great. The cook also did a great job preparing various dishes during the diving trip. The two guides Rudi and Bassem alternated with the two groups of divers from one day to the next and kept things interesting. The highlight of the trip was at Fasma Abu Fandera where we saw two whale sharks passing by just after the negative entry from the zodiac. Then at Elphinstone 2 oceanic white tips came really close and gave us a chance to see them better. Towards the end of the trip at Ras Shouna we saw 6 huge green turtles in one dive. Of course we also saw baby white tip sharks, Spanish dancers, eagle rays, dotted stingrays and dolphins between the dives. The weather was excellent for this time of year and the water temperature was between 26-28 degrees celsius. I wholeheartedly recommend this liveaboard on Golden Dolphin 3 and the Golden Dolphin fleet. Last but not least i must mention that the staff of Divebooker was very helpful throughout the whole process and particularly Teresa and Irene made sure all the details were sorted out and any problems solved quickly.
