Port of Fakarava

Fakarava is an atoll in the west of the Tuamotu group in French Polynesia. It is the second-largest of the Tuamotu atolls. Fakarava Airport is located there. Fakarava is a popular tourist destination, a true diver's paradise. Scuba diving on Fakarava is available for divers of all levels of experience. The depth of the sites can be up to 45m/147ft. Dive sites not to miss around Fakarava are the North and South Passes - Tumakohua Pass and Garuae Pass. In the Tumakohua Pass divers may see dozens or even hundreds of sharks while a single dive.
