Shark Cave
This cave is a large overhang, about 1m/3ft high and 12m/40ft wide, which tapers back into a 5m/17ft cave, leaving enough space for whitetip sharks to rest. As far as the sharks are not dangerous, divers can lie on the sandy bottom and observe them with a torch. There's a few other ledges around, under which baby sharks can be spotted. It is normally a drift dive and a multilevel dive, where divers swim up shallow to Pink Wall or Hole in the Wall.
When To Go Diving
High diving season usually lasts from December to the end of May when the average water temperature stays around 26C/79F.
What to see
The cave is covered with soft corals, numerous sea fans and giant barrel sponges. The Shark Cave is a hideout for white tip reef sharks, hammerhead sharks and occasionally whale sharks. Also large grouper, barracuda, parrotfish, lionfish and scorpionfish can usually be seen here, as well as blue spotted sting rays, moray eels and octopus.
