Scuba diving in Devil’s Reef


Devil's Reef is located in 3-4 minutes boat ride from the shore on the eastern side of Ocho Rios. This reef is large and it's quite a deep dive. The top of it starts at about 65 ft / 20 meters depth and then reef drops down deep to 130 ft / 40 meters. Devil's reef has lots of holes, crevices and cracks full of small and large marine inhabitants.
When to go
All year around. Ocho Rios has a tropical climate. The air temperature about the same throughout the year, usually ranging between 27-30C/80-86F. The water temperature averages 26-28C/78-82F.
What to see
Turtles, nurse sharks, bogas, barracudas, jackfish, moray eels, snappers and groupers. Blackball sponges, staghorn corals and sea fans. Crabs and nudibranches.
