Crystal Lagoon, near Comino, is known for bright blue water, limestone scenery, and shallow sheltered areas that suit relaxed diving and snorkelling. The site has a luminous, scenic quality, especially when sunlight cuts through the clear water and pale rock formations.
What to see
Divers may see limestone walls, boulders, shallow reefs, damselfish, wrasse, bream, octopus, moray eels, nudibranchs, small crustaceans, and occasional schools of small Mediterranean fish.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to October, when sea conditions are calmer and the water is warmer. Late summer can reach around 25–27°C, while visibility is often excellent, commonly 20–40 metres.
