Creole Rock, off the French side near Grand Case, is one of the island’s most recognizable reef and snorkelling areas. It has shallow rock formations, coral patches, and a lively Caribbean reef atmosphere, with enough fish life to keep both divers and snorkellers engaged.
What to see
Reef fish, sergeant majors, parrotfish, butterflyfish, wrasse, turtles, rays, moray eels, sponges, sea fans, and small coral-dwelling creatures may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from November to May, with calm seas important because the site is shallow and exposed to surface conditions. Water is usually around 26–29°C, and visibility can be excellent in settled weather.
