Tambor

Diving in Tambor (Nicoya Peninsula, Pacific coast) is available for divers of all experience levels. There are a lot of dive sites off Tambor, some of the most popular being: La Chancha/Chanchito, known for its incredible gorgonians, scorpionfish and eagle rays; and Los Muertos, with its rock formations, large quantities of fish, porcupinefish, snappers, mantas, octopuses, turtles, etc. The abundant marine life in the Tambor waters also includes angelfish, pufferfish, corals, blue spotted jacks, eels, lobsters, oysters and needlefish, which are commonly spotted in the clear shallows.
