All about Chimney reef dive site

Depth max
18 m
Diver level

Chimney Reef suggests a site with raised reef structures, vertical cuts, or swim-through-style topography. It has a more architectural feel than a flat reef, with fish and invertebrates using the cracks and ledges as shelter.

What to see

Reef chimneys, overhangs, hard and soft corals, glassfish, soldierfish, moray eels, lionfish, nudibranchs, turtles, rays, and passing jacks may be seen.

When To Go Diving

The best season varies by region, but calmer, drier months from May to October often bring better comfort and visibility. Water may range from the low 20s°C in winter to around 29–30°C in summer, with visibility strongly affected by plankton and current.
