Batanta Island, in Raja Ampat, is known for a mix of reefs, slopes, and macro sites. It has a quieter, more forested island feel than the busier central routes.
What to see
Soft corals, reef fish, turtles, rays, nudibranchs, shrimps, wobbegong sharks, and schooling fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
October to April is generally best for Raja Ampat. Water is usually around 27–30°C.
