Scuba diving in Avlaki


The Avlaki site features stunning walls with gentle slope going down to a sandy bottom at about 50m/164ft deep. While diving along the wall, divers can explore several cracks and holes, as well as a variety of marine species. Divers are recommended to beware of the current that comes from the east, and be careful.
When to go
Diving is feasible year-round. The high diving season is from April to October. The sea temperature ranges from a low of 14C/57F in winter to a high of 28C/82F in the summer.
What to see
The marine life is rich and interesting, divers will see shoals of carangids, octopi, scorpionfish, and nudibranchs, as well as John Dories hidden in the seagrass.
