All about Au Au Crater dive site

Au Au Crater suggests a crater-like Hawaiian reef or volcanic bowl, with lava structure and clear Pacific water. It has a distinctive geological profile, shaped more by lava than coral reef flats.

What to see

Lava formations, reef fish, butterflyfish, tangs, moray eels, octopus, turtles, nudibranchs, and occasional rays may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from May to October for calmer seas and warmer water. Water is usually around 24–28°C, with visibility often 20–30 metres.
