Scuba diving in A Frame


A-Frame is a rocky reef with a few swim-throughs, deep crevices and overhangs. It also features a small cave on the sandy bottom. This site is a part of Marine Protected Area. It is one of the most popular shore dives around and is suitable for divers of all levels of experience. This is a good photographic site, with a large variety of seaweed, invertebrates and fish. Also it is a perfect spot for night diving.
When to go
The hottest month is February with the average air temperature of 27C/81F. The coldest month is July with the average temperature of 14C/57F. The water visibility is medium. Currents are light. The average water temperature is 22C/72F throughout the year.
What to see
A rocky reef with a few swim-throughs, deep crevices, overhangs and small cave. The site is home to a lot of anemones, sponges and crinoids. Black mussels, spiny starfish, abalone, crayfish, pipefish, lobsters, seals, several types of rays are also commonly seen here.
