All about West Sand Spit dive site

West Sand Spit is likely a sand-and-reef site with a softer profile than the deeper wall dives. It has a bright, open feel, where pale sand, coral patches, and passing marine life create the main appeal.

What to see

Southern stingrays, garden eels where present, gobies, reef fish, coral heads, turtles, eagle rays, conch, sea fans, and small sand-dwelling species may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best in calm conditions from December to May, though shallow sand sites may be affected by wind and surge. Water is generally around 26–29°C, with visibility often excellent when the sand is not stirred.
