All about Uravi Gala dive site

Uravi Gala is best treated as a rocky Sri Lankan reef site, with “gala” suggesting a rock or reef formation. It has a natural Indian Ocean profile, with boulders, ledges, and reef fish moving through warm coastal water.

What to see

Reef fish, snappers, fusiliers, moray eels, lionfish, nudibranchs, shrimps, lobsters, rays, and rocky reef life may be seen.

When To Go Diving

"If on the east coast, May to September or October is usually best; if on the west or south coast, November to April is preferable. Water is generally around 26–30°C, with visibility often 10–25 metres in settled conditions."
