How to get to the Whitby

Whitby is a small village on the northern shore of North Caicos Island, between the protected snorkeling area of Three Mary Cays and Horsestable Beach. The beaches along the north shore are gentle sloping and the waves are minimal as the shoreline is protected by the barrier reef, less than 1mi/1.6km from land. Thus, from the eastern side of Whitby Beach (a 7mi/11km stretch of white sand), Horsestable Beach offers perfect opportunities for snorkeling just offshore. There is a magnificent barrier reef, including coral formations before the main reef. From the west side, the Pumpkin Bluff Beach is represented by several small scenic rocky hills that break up the beach into little coves, and there are also the rusted remains of a wrecked freighter ship half a mile off shore. Popular dive areas worth visiting are located on Providenciales Island, including Grace Bay, Pine Cay, North West Point.
