LIVEABOARD DIVING IN Grace Bay

RECOMMENDED AIRPORT
Grace Bay is situated along the north coast of the island of Providenciales and is protected by a 22km/14mi barrier reef. Grace Bay, which features the famous 19km/12mi Grace Bay beach, is the location for most of the tourism infrastructure, such as the Princess Alexandra Marine Park, which is also the playground of JoJo, the wild rouge dolphin who prefers human company. Here divers will also find groupers, barracudas, turtles, snappers, grunts, sharks, and the occasional manta ray. Approximately a 10-15-min boat ride leads to dive sites, the most interesting of which are Sunset Strip, Pinnacles, Shark Hole (for experienced divers), Grouper Hole, Graceland, and the W.E. Wreck (39-45m/130-180ft). Pinnacles is a great site to do either deep or shallow, and is a beautiful example of spur and groove formations. The spurs of coral rise up to within 6m/20ft of the surface. The mini wall drops to the wide sandy ledge of this area with large islands of coral that shelter moray eels and lobsters. Nassau groupers and 'Elvis' the barracuda can also be seen.
