Ticao Island is known for manta ray encounters in the wider area and current-influenced reef diving. It has a more adventurous profile than sheltered Visayas reefs, with plankton-rich water supporting larger marine life.
What to see
Manta rays may be seen, along with reef fish, turtles, rays, jacks, soft corals, sea fans, nudibranchs, and schooling fish.
When To Go Diving
Ticao is often best from November to May, with manta activity influenced by plankton and current. Water is generally around 26–30°C.
