Palma de Mallorca is a major city and the capital of the Balearic Islands in Spain. The city occupies the northwestern end of the bay on the south west of the island of Mallorca. Diving here is possible year-round and available to novice as well as advanced divers. Palma features scuba diving and snorkeling as well as cave diving and wreck diving. The underwater landscape offers divers a chance to swim through lava tubes, canyons and interesting rock formations. The diverse marine life includes brightly colored corals, reefs teeming with small fish as well as sponges, nudibranchs, groupers, lobsters, barracudas, octopus, moray eels, jacks, wrasse, goatfish, cardinal fish, damsel fish, blennies, starfish and sea urchins. The most popular dive-sites are Las Cabras, Los Cancajos, Malpique, Puerto Naos and La Bombilla.
