El Toro is located in the area known as Ses Penyes Rotges, on the west part of the Island of Majorca, part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Diving and snorkeling are quite popular activities here, as this area is home to one of the richest ecosystems of the Mediterranean, with beautiful submarine landscapes, enormous rocks, caves, Posidonia fields and sandy bottoms. Around El Toro there is a wide variety of dive sites suitable for all levels. Most popular dive sites One of the top dive sites, great for beginners as well as advanced divers, is Isla del Toro, which is a beautiful marina reserve with crystal clear waters, several excellent dive spots and rich underwater life, which includes red soft corals, sea sponges, shoals of sea breams, gruntfish, wrasses, goatfish, octopuses, groupers and tiny iridescent blue fish. The depth of this site varies from 5m/16ft to 40m/131ft. Other very interesting dive sites nearby are Three Caves, Isla del Sec and Palma Wrecks for experienced divers.
