The best time for diving in Can Picafort is between June and October when the water temperature stays around 25C/77F on average. From November to March it can be cold and rainy. The average air temperature in the summer is around 26C/78F and 13C/55F in the winter. The average water ranges from 14C/57F in winter months to 26C/78F in summer months. The visibility can be up to 40m/131ft.

 

What to see

The underwater landscape consists of beautiful corals and reefs filled with diverse marine life that includes brightly colored nudibranchs, groupers, lobsters, barracudas, octopus, moray eels, jacks, wrasse, goatfish, cardinal fish, damsel fish, blennies, starfish and sea urchins.

Scuba diving in Can Picafort

Can Picafort is a small village, located at the eastern end of the wide bay of Alcúdia, Mallorca(Majorca) and in 63 km from Palma de Mallorca Airport. This place is ideal for a relaxed holiday, with 13km/8mi of warm, white sand, as well as bars, restaurants, and some nightclubs. Scuba divers are attracted here due to the caves and caverns such as Sa Cova Tancada or Cova de Ses Llàgrimes. Divers of all levels can find something interesting, as well as explore the richness of the underwater life.
