How to get to the Scottburgh
Scottburgh is a resort town located on the the South Bank of the Mpambanyoni River. King Shaka International Airport is located in 110km from it. Scottburgh is a place popular among fisherman, surfers, snorkelers and divers. Its beaches, well protected by shark nets, are also well known here. The Shoal consists of many caves, overhands, cracks and a number of shipwrecks in which many fish and plenty of corals can be seen.
There are lots of worthy sites near the Aliwal Shoal, which depth varies between 5-30m/16-98ft. Among must see sites are wrecks of Nebo and Produce, the archway Cathedral and Raggie’s Cave. Also, near the Aliwal Shoal, there is a regular expedition, that includes shark viewing, cage shark diving (no diving experience is required) -which are a must have experience.
