Diamond Rock, known as Le Rocher du Diamant, is considered to be one of the most beautiful dive sites in Martinique. This immense volcanic rock towers over 175m/574ft high and stands about 5km/3mi from the coast. Diving at this site is available for all divers. The site consists of drop-offs, shallow reef flats and rocky canyons. The diversity and abundance of marine life here includes a lot of different tropical reef fish, turtles, moray eels, Spanish mackerels, and lots of crustaceans (crawfish, shrimp, and crabs) hidden in the crevices. The flora are also very diverse: gorgonian fans, soft corals, sponges, and anemones.
