Peniche offers a big number of caves, wrecks and barrier reefs teeming with marine life. The most popular dive sites here are: the Berlengas archipelago; Cova do Sono or Hollow of sleep is a sheltered bay with many caves; The Primavera is an easy wreck dive for beginners and the Baixa Alagada or Flooded Reef is the very nice reef with a wreck, the Sapho.
