Porto Valitsa is a site where divers can explore caves, holes, overhangs, and rocks. At the beginning of the dive there is a smooth slope, and at a depth of 12m/39ft there is a wall that goes down to about 60m/197ft deep.

When to go

The best months for diving are from April to October, with the warmest temperatures arriving in July and August. The average water temperature is about 25C/77F in summer, and 16C/61F in winter.

What to see

Divers will also enjoy the marine life here. In these waters divers can spot morays, cuttlefish, thick-lipped grey mullet, sorgus fish, octopi, groupers, flatfish, and nudibranchs, and the lucky ones will see John Dories.
