All about Pigeon Rock dive site

Pigeon Rock, inside the Pigeon Island Marine National Park area, is a shallow reef site with easy profiles and colourful fish life. It is especially suitable for relaxed diving, snorkelling-style scenery, and macro observation.

What to see

Reef fish, corals, nudibranchs, shrimps, moray eels, boxfish, trevally, lionfish, scorpionfish, anemonefish, parrotfish, cuttlefish, triggerfish, and lobsters may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from May to September or October on Sri Lanka’s east coast. Water is generally around 27–30°C, with visibility often 10–25 metres in settled weather.
