RECOMMENDED AIRPORT
Camiguin is an island province of the Philippines located in the Bohol Sea, about 10km/6.2mi off the northern coast of Mindanao. Camiguin is the second smallest in the country both in population and land area after Batanes. Mambajao is the capital of the province. Much of the island was formed through earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Each year in October, a festival is held celebrating the Lanzones, a small grape-sized tropical fruit grown all over the island. The week-long Lanzones Festival is one of the most colorful events in the Philippines. Camiguin features two waterfalls: Katibawasan Falls and more remote Tuawasan Falls with cool, refreshing waters amid trees, ferns and boulders. Camiguin Island is a great place for Scuba Diving. Some popular dive sites are Bulias Shoal, Coral Garden Camiguin, Jigdup Reef, Jigdup Wall, Kabila, Mantigue Island, Old Volcano, Sunken Yatch, Tangub Hot Springs, White Island Black Forest and White Island reef. Coral Garden Camiguin is also very popular among divers and is suitable for divers of all experience levels. The average depth of this site is 20m/65.6ft.
