Nugal, near the Makarska coastline, suggests a coastal reef or wall site with limestone cliffs above and clear water below. It has the feel of a scenic shore or boat dive, where the landscape continues underwater.
What to see
Divers may see rocky reef life, wrasse, bream, damselfish, octopus, scorpionfish, sponges, nudibranchs, and small crustaceans. Deeper ledges may shelter conger eels.
When To Go Diving
June to October is best, with September often less crowded and still warm. Water can reach 24–26°C in summer, while visibility is often 20–30 metres.
