All about Mirissa Point dive site

Mirissa Point is a south-coast site with a rocky reef or point profile, shaped by Indian Ocean swell and seasonal visibility. It has a coastal, open-water feel near one of Sri Lanka’s best-known whale-watching areas.

What to see

Reef fish, snappers, rays, moray eels, lionfish, turtles, octopus, nudibranchs, and occasional larger fish may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from November to April, when the south coast is usually calmer. Water is generally 27–30°C, with visibility often 10–25 metres in settled conditions.
