How to get to the Puerto Vallarta

The city of Puerto Vallarta is located on the Pacific coast, in the largest Mexican bay, Bahía de Banderas. Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport is located there. Diving in Puerto Vallarta is incredible due to dive opportunities and amazing flora and fauna. There is the highly interesting Anegados dive site, with stone structures similar to mazes, for instance. Another unforgettable site in the area is El Morro – an underwater cave and walls decorated with corals and sponges, full of shrimp, different crab species and octopuses. La Pared is a dive site with large rocks forming crevices and arches, and a main wall covered in corals, gorgonians, ascidians and sponges. Los Arcos is a granite formation rising from the depths and taking on interesting shapes influenced by the ocean. The tropical fish and the intricate landscape of this dive site are impressive for their variety. There are excellent chances opportunities for seeing whales from December to March. Sea turtles nest on the beaches of Bahia de Banderas from May to October. Some of the most interesting Puerto Vallarta dive sites are Islas Marietas, La Corbetena, Las Viudas and El Chimo, among many others. Dolphins, giant manta rays, whales, sea turtles and a variety of species of fish, shellfish and plants can be observed here.
