Akumal

Akumal is a small town between Playa del Carmen and Tulum on the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. The closest international airport is in Cancun that is located in 92 km. Diving in Akumal means exploring the world's second largest barrier reef, where divers will find abundant coral formations and marine life along three major spur and groove formations. This diving and snorkeling paradise is home to a variety of corals, sea turtles and tropical fish. There are about 10 dive sites to explore with an abundance of reef life, the most popular being: Yalku Lagoon, Morgan site, Motorcycle Reef and The Gorgonians.
