Scuba diving in Thinadhoo
Thinadhoo is one of the inhabited islands of Vaavu Atoll in the Maldives. The closest airport is in Male, that is connected by ferry to Thinadhoo.
This area is a good place for fishing, water skiing and scuba diving. Divers can explore channels, overhangs, swim throughs, reefs and caves with interesting coral formations and sea fans. The sites nearby are suitable for both beginners and advanced divers. Some of the interesting sites include Hulhidhoo Kandu, Golden Wall, Miyaru Kandu, Fotteyo Kandu and Alimathaa Kandu. Underwater life is rich and varied. Coming here divers can see snappers, clownfish, napoleons, sea turtles, parrotfish, angelfish, stingrays, white trevallies, tuna, eagle rays, barracudas, leopard and white tip reef sharks and many others.
