Maafushi Island

Maafushi is an island off Kaafu Atoll in the Maldives that is popular for its beautiful, relaxed beaches and interesting diving opportunities. The closest airport is in Male, that is connected by ferry to Maafushi Island. This destination features some adventurous shipwrecks, caves, overhangs, and swim-throughs. It has something to offer for divers of all levels. Most popular dive sites The most famous dive sites at Maafushi are the Kuda Giri Wreck (large cargo boat covered by hard and soft corals), Cocoa Corner (picturesque underwater landscape full of caves), and Guraidhoo Corner (great drift diving). The depth of the dive sites varies from 7-35m/23-115ft. Also worth visiting are Kandooma Thila and Embudhoo Kandu.
