All about Mae Haad dive site
Mae Haad is Koh Tao’s main harbour area, with shallow reef, sand, and easy-access conditions nearby. It is more practical than dramatic, but it can be useful for relaxed dives, training, or small-life observation.
What to see
Juvenile fish, gobies, blue-spotted rays, coral patches, wrasse, butterflyfish, shrimps, crabs, and small sand-dwelling life may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Diveable much of the year, with January to September generally better. Water is usually 27–30°C, though visibility can be variable near the harbour.
