Rhodes is the largest of the twelve Dodecanese islands, located northeast of Crete, and southeast of Athens. Rhodes is also known as 'The island of the Knights', because of the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem that once conquered the land. It is a very popular tourist destination with the excellent facilities for tourism. It is very easy to get to Rhodes as there are three airports (Diagoras Airport is the main one), and well connection with major Greek islands and cities as well as with majority European cities via charter flights. The most popular sightseeing here is the romantic Old Town, which features strong walls, an impressive-looking castle, cobbled streets, stone mansions.
