When to go to Chania

Diving in Chania is available all year round. Spring and fall are the best times to dive. From May to September, air temperatures average 20-26C/60-78F and water temperatures average 20-24C/68-75F. Visibility is excellent. In the summer, the average visibility is around 30m/98ft. Currents are weak.


What to see

While diving here divers can spot octopi, corals, sea horses, lobsters, crabs, eels, rays, grouper, wrasses, scorpionfish, jellyfish, starfish, mollusks, sea snakes, turtles, cuttlefish, and dolphins.
