Being one of the most attractive dive sites around Montego Bay, Fish Pond is an appropriate place for divers of all levels who get a chance to enjoy coral formations and their beautiful sea occupants. The depth of the dive site is around 30ft/10m, and the site is easily accessible by boat. This is one of the best places to spot seahorses, while the reef is also full of lettuce sea slugs, good size mackerels, jacks, parrotfish, stingrays, barracudas, lobsters, starfish, snappers, tobaccofish, grunts and hundreds of other tropical fish. They swim around soft and hard corals of all colors and shapes as well as some purple fans, gorgonians, anemones and sponges that are a part of the stunning underwater landscape of Fish Pond. This dive site is an ideal spot for beginners, as they can explore the variety of species and obtain their license here at the same time.

When To Go Diving

Fish Pond is a great dive site located in the west of Jamaica and provides exceptional opportunity to observe diverse marine life all year round. The best time to come here is from July till September, although divers may see some hurricanes visiting the island around this time of the year. The average air temperature stays between 26C/79F and 29C/84F, while the water temperature ranges from 26C/78F to 28C/82F. The water visibility stays between 51ft/16m and 60ft/18m.
