Nadi is a stop-off point for almost all Fiji tourists, because it is a transition stop for on the way to other destinations in Fiji. Most travelers stay in Nadi while waiting for their boats, ships, or ferries. Nadi is not the most picturesque destination in Fiji, but it is still definitely worth staying there for more than one hour. In Nadi, tourists can visit a large Hindu temple, the Sleeping Giant Orchid Gardens, and the Waqadra Botanical Gardens. The town was established in 1947 and became a tourist hub in 1960. The main street is probably the main attraction of the town. There are lots of restaurants, cafés, and stores that are always crowded and noisy. However, the surrounding areas can offer its visitors a nice rest on the beach, with white sand and clear water. There are a lot of opportunities for divers around Nadi. The amazing Mamanuca Islands have a lot of dive sites with a maximum depth of 30m/98ft. Divers can explore reefs, corals, caves, caverns, and even wrecks here. Most popular dive sites Nadi has great scuba diving at the Mamanuca Islands. Divers can explore the pinnacles at the Supermarket dive site, observe moray eels at Tui’s Reef, and explore the corals at Seven Sisters and Jackie’s Reef.
