Erg Abu Ramada, near Hurghada, is famous for its coral pinnacles and fish-rich sandy setting. It has a classic Red Sea “coral block garden” look, excellent for wide-angle and close-up photography.
What to see
Coral pinnacles, anthias, glassfish, lionfish, moray eels, blue-spotted rays, snappers, fusiliers, and crocodilefish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Spring and autumn are best, with summer also comfortable underwater. Water ranges from about 21–30°C annually.
