El Bajón, in El Hierro, is one of Spain’s most iconic volcanic seamount dives, known for dramatic rock towers and pelagic potential. It has a powerful blue-water feel.
What to see
Barracuda, groupers, jacks, rays, moray eels, wrasse, bream, volcanic pinnacles, and schooling fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to October, with year-round diving possible when conditions allow. Water is generally 19–24°C.
