LIVEABOARD DIVING IN Alexandria

Alexandria Liveaboards
RECOMMENDED AIRPORT
The city of Alexandria is located on the Mediterranean. It's the second largest city of Egypt and one of the most alluring places in the world for those fond of archaeological diving. The waters of Alexandria cover an ancient sunken city with the ruins of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, Cleopatra's Palace, temples, etc. There is also a great variety of wrecks from different eras – ancient wrecks, Napoleonic wrecks, WWII wrecks and so on. Among locations that should not be missed are the City and the Palace of Cleopatra, the statue of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra’s sun boat, the Egyptian and Roman wrecks of Qaitbay Fort, the underwater city of Herakleon, the Orient (the flagship of Napoleon's fleet) and two other frigates from the same period (Serieuse and the Artemise), two WWII shipwrecks (HMS Calcutta and HMS Galatea) and a unique, non-oceanic dive site at the springs and wells of the Siwa Oasis.
