The Schnellboot S-31 was a type of a German torpedo boat that was launched in 1939. The Schnellboot, which means "fast craft", had a maximum speed of 38 knots. In 1942, while laying mines in close proximity to the Grand Harbor, it hit a mine and sank. The wreck of the Schnellboot S31 can be found in the upright position on the sandy bottom at a depth of 66m/216ft. It is fully intact with its original weaponry. Divers can find the machine guns and torpedoes ready for launching in the torpedo tubes. Due to the depth of the wreck, the dive site is only suitable for experienced or technical divers.

When To Go Diving
