Must see
At the most southwestern point of Comino there is a dive site named Lantern Point (Lighthouse Reef or the Chimney). Divers here can explore some huge boulders, caves, tunnels and a reef wall. This location offers enough action for experienced divers as well as for novice divers who may prefer to stay near the wall and at the shallower parts of this dive site.

When To Go Diving

Diving is available year-round. The average depth of the site ranges between 6-34m/20-112ft with water visibility of around 15m/50ft. The average air temperature is 10-15C/50-59F in the winter and 21-30C/70-83F in the summer. The average water temperature is about 14-17C/58-63F from December through April and 18-25C/65-77F from May through November.

What to see

The reef wall houses some dentex, amber jacks, barracudas, bream and groupers. Inside the holes and cracks of the wall it's not unusual to find huge moray eels and octopus. The caverns, overhangs and small caves are full of damsel fish, starfish, shrimps, crabs and sponges.
