Protaras

Protaras is situated on the south eastern corner of Cyprus. The closest international airport is Larnaca that is located in 70 km from it. Protaras is renowned for its extensive golden beaches overlooking the deep blue Mediterranean sea. Famous for its crystal clear waters with visibility sometimes greater than 30m/86F in the summer. Ideal for beginners since most dive sites in this area provide easy entry and exit points.

Most popular dive sites

The nearest and the most famous dive sites are Aquarium, Green Bay, Chapelle, Black Sponge, Cyclops, Nausica, Liberty Wreck (depth 18-28m/59-91ft). The Green Bay, Nausica offer rich marine life and great photo opportunities and are excellent places for beginners or those wanting to refresh or learn new skills, while the more advanced divers have at locations such as Chapelle, and Cyclops. Protaras also provides excellent conditions for night diving, since it has easily accessible dive spots, calm weather and plenty marine life that can only be seen in the evening.
