When to go to Latchi
The high season here lasts from April through November. In summer, average ambient temperature is around 30C/86F and sea temperature about 27-28C/81-82F. Warm, crystal-clear water provides divers with great visibility – up to 100ft/30m.
What to see
The teeming sea life here includes dolphins, turtles, eels, morays, scorpionfish, amberjack, tuna, barracuda, garfish, sea bass, octopuses, groupers, stingrays and other species of fish, as well as corals in a plethora of colors and shapes and lots of other marine wonders.
Scuba diving in Latchi
Located in western Cyprus, on the Mediterranean coast, Latchi is a small village (population approx. 100 people) in the Paphos District and forms part of the town of Polis. The closest international airport is Paphos that is located in 50 km. The marina has a quay ideal for pleasant strolling. Near the village are Aphrodite's Baths. The mild climate has contributed to the developing tourism, and diving is a major activity here. The seafloor has quite an interesting topography, marine life is abundant and there are also some interesting locations for wreck diving. There are many interesting dive sites in Latchi, the best being: Zenobia, Jubilee Shoals, Melanda, Aphrodite’s Rock, Wreck of White Star, Minijin Isle & Amphitheatre.
