LIVEABOARD DIVING IN Cienfuegos

Cienfuegos is a waterfront city located on the southern coast of Cuba. The easiest way to reach the city is by car or by bus: It will take five hours by car or by bus from Havana and only two hours - from Trinidad. Cienfuego, that is called the "Pearl of the South", attracts visitors with its colonial and cultural diversity, enlightened French atmosphere and Caribbean panache. The architecture here is fascinating, there are even group of buildings that were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. Cienfuego top tourist attractions include Museo Provincial, El Nicho Waterfalls, Plaza Jose Marti, Cathedral de la Purisma Conception. Also Cienfuegos and the area around is a very popular diving destination. In cleanest waters of Cienfuegos divers of all diver level can have a great scuba diving experience. There are more than 50 dive sites in the area, some of them are located 10 minutes from shore, others - about 30 minutes by boat. Divers can see coral formations forming barriers so tall that in some places they can reach the surface, wrecks, wide channels dropping from 10-40m/32-130ft while diving near Cienfuego. Some of the most popular dive sites near Cienfuego include the Crown, Kerchief Point, Camaroneros I and II, the impressive formation of coral columns known as Notre Dame.
